    When it comes to real estate, Hamilton, MI might be a good place to buy right now.     Hamilton is a community in Heath Township of Allegan County. Early settlers called the village Rabbit River, after the river that runs through the area. The name was changed to Hamilton in 1870.

    While the majority of the county was primarily agricultural for many years, it is quickly becoming a kind of 'suburb' of both Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo. Tourism is growing along the Lake Michigan shoreline and the number of vacation homes in Allegan is rising.
